**For all sizes I cut 2 pieces (3x45) for the bottom ruffle (optional)

Housekeeping

SO now that the cat is out of the bag about our big move, I wanted to clarify some shop plans and moving plans....Although I would LOVE to take ALL of my fabric, unfortunately I'm going to have to part with some of it. I may be able to bring back some designs when I get settled in HI, but for now, I won't be re-ordering any fabric before we leave. I'll be doing inventory throughout the week and posting all item availability on Facebook, as well as, adjusting description titles in my Etsy shop so you know exactly how many are available.

For a limited time, I will also no longer be able to accommodate custom requests with any fabric that needs to be ordered, however, I am still happy to make changes to designs that I have the fabric for.

I want to update you all about my other site. I know I briefly explained before but wanted to make sure I didn't leave anyone scratching their head about the new site:)

It is so so simple to navigate and is a little more user friendly than Etsy because you don't need to set up a username and password like you do on Etsy. It's just simple "shop and pay" like a regular store website. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE me some ETSY, but Big Cartel is also fabulous. You also don't need a Paypal account on BC...you can just use a credit card if you'd like.

SOoooo.....what can you find on my BC site you ask??? Well, this is where I will be selling all my items that I have only one of. There will be no "made to order" items, that will stay at Etsy. You'll find my OOAK, samples, and other goodies that will only be made once. So basically, if it's at Big Cartel, there is only one of them. For those of you new to Big Cartel, please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions about the site or any items for sale there. And be sure to browse around, Big Cartel has fantastic stores!!

So to sum up (I was a teacher, you know), all custom orders and specialty sizing will be at Etsy and all OOAK and Ready to Ship items will be at Big Cartel.

ALOHA!!!

Big things happening over here at the house of SAK! I don't frequently post much about my personal life on my blog, for whatever reason, probably because not too many "blogable" things happen...I take that as a good thing:) I've been bursting to tell you all this since my family and I made the decision a couple of months ago, but wanted to wait until the timing was right.....


WE ARE MOVING TO HAWAII!!!! YAY!!!

I don't think any of you know, but we lived in Hawaii for a little less than 5 years, and moved back to NJ last November. That's actually how SAK started. It had always been something I wanted to do, but just never had the time to start it up. Before SAK, I was an elementary teacher turned day care provider and when we moved to NJ, neither of those ended up working for me at the time, hence SAK.

So, our four tickets to paradise are scheduled for Nov. 4 and we are thrilled/nervous/excited!

Well, you're probably wondering what this means for SAK?!?! Well, nothing really, except that I may have to close shop for a couple days, but I'm not even sure about that yet. I'm thinking about changing the shop to a "OOAK" or "Ready to Ship" shop while we're making the transition. I'll keep you posted....

Until then, I'm very excited to let you know that SAK's Holiday Line will make its appearance in the next couple of days....do you know that there are less than 100 shopping days until Christmas??? :)
